The Environmental, Social & Economic Profile Study of Luxor Governorate was conducted using the Participatory Rapid Appraisal (PRA) methodology as part of the Sustainable Empowerment Project – Enhancing the Role of Non-Governmental Organizations in Sustainable Development and Climate Action.
The project is implemented by the Nag El Dar Islamic Charity Association in partnership with Misr El Kheir Foundation and funded by the European Union.
The study was carried out to identify the key challenges facing local communities through active community participation. Based on this participatory approach, stakeholders collaboratively developed practical local solutions to mitigate the impacts of climate change, promote environmental sustainability, and improve the quality of life for communities across Luxor Governorate.
The study also serves as a strategic knowledge resource supporting Misr El Kheir Foundation in developing effective development policies that respond to the needs and priorities of the people of Luxor Governorate.
As a comprehensive reference document, the study enables both institutions and community stakeholders to achieve measurable and sustainable impact while strengthening their role as drivers of local development. It provides:
